WOCAT tablet app: Knowledge for Sustainable Land Management
World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) is a global network dedicated to Sustainable Land Management. The WOCAT tablet app illustrates how land users around the globe care for their land and maintain healthy natural resources: soils, water, and vegetation. Good practices are presented, ranging from orchard-based agroforestry in Tajikistan to rooftop rainwater harvesting in Nepal and sand dams in Kenya.
Bougouni: A strategy game about sustainable development in the Sahel
The game Bougouni brings to life the challenges faced by developing countries. While playing it, students are encouraged to address various ecological, social, and economic issues. The prototype for Bougouni was jointly developed by CDE and partner organisations in Mali. Together with PHBern and éducation21, CDE has reworked the content of the game, making it suitable for use with high school-aged students.
