Bottled Life: film screening and discussion

05/09/2012
Film synopsis
To have clean water is a human right. Without water, there is no life. Director Urs Schnell and journalist Res Gehriger put the spotlight on the bottled water business with a focus on the big player Nestlé. Their investigations lead them to the United States, to Nigeria and Pakistan, where Nestlé produces “Pure Life”, which originates from the local groundwater. After enriching it with minerals, the water is sold back to the local population. Bottled Life is an impressive documentary feature, which focuses on an important aspect of the water issue while asking fundamental questions which will gain in topicality in the coming years.
