CDE was well-represented at the Planet under Pressure conference in London, 26-29 March 2012.

On Wednesday 28 March, CDE director Peter Messerli and deputy director Thomas Breu co-convened a session on Large Scale Land Acquisitions (LSLAs) as key drivers of rural transformation processes. The session explored new insights about LSLAs from the local to the global level and reflected on their implications for sustainable rural development. Drawing on a series of posters and selected oral presentations, a panel discussion concluded on implications for future research and policy. More details on the session can be found here: http://www.planetunderpressure2012.net/pup_session.asp?19166.
