At this upcoming conference, various experts will discuss landscape values from legal, educational, and political perspectives and present new guidelines on landscape values. The guidelines are aimed at community- and cantonal-level planners, builders, designers, lawyers, and NGOs. They include two checklists of assessment criteria. One checklist lists the basic values of a landscape. The other analyses over 20 Spatial Planning Act articles – relevant to landscape values – to provide support when making appraisals.
