Together with the research institute Agroscope, CDE has created a map of Swiss agricultural soils that may be vulnerable to erosion. The map was commissioned by the Federal Office for Agriculture. It is intended to support agriculturalists in the sustainable, location-appropriate management of soils and to enable authorities to efficiently monitor vulnerable areas of land use. It is an important part of the guidelines for soil conservation in Swiss agriculture, recently published by the Federal Office for the Environment.
