Since 2010, the United Nations has recognised access to clean water as a human right. Appropriate management of water as a key natural resource is crucial for sustainable development. The University of Bern is holding an event on Wednesday, 18 September 2013, to contribute to the public discourse on this important topic. Guest speakers will include Maude Barlow, international advocate for the right to water, as well as professors and technicians from the University of Bern.
